Marienbad
A present for MikeO that was shown at Cinematic Redux at Pop Shop Gallery in Lakewood in August 2010.
Work in Progress
This is a poor scan of my biggest project yet. It is the pattern "Carousel" by Teresa Wentzler. I still have to complete three horses, all of the platform, the sides at the top, and a lot of backstitch. My goal is to have it finished by Christmas 2006 so I can give it to my grandma who loves carousel horses. This is the biggest and hardest project I've ever done. It's also the first time I've used evenweave. I've been working on it since October 2005. There are over forty colors used and most of them are actually blends. The picture does not show the metallic gold and purple threads.
Now that I finished my long list of UFOs (which was my summer goal), I am going to only work on the Carousel.
Carousel Finished!
Here is the finished Carousel I made for my Grandma. It was mostly finished Christams Eve but I didn't get it framed until after New Year's. This picture doesn't show the metallic gold floss which really adds to this pattern. I really enjoyed stitching this and learned a lot about colors, quarter and half stitches, and backstitching.
